What to expect when you're expecting soccer

Registration for the 2019 fall season of Pensacola Youth Soccer is now closed. This was our first season using online registration. Thanks to everyone who used it, and for helping us work out the kinks.

If you missed the registration deadline, we've opened up a wait list. It's first-come, first-served. Players will be placed on teams in the order in which their request was received.

With a little less than month left before our first games, here's what's next:

  • You may have already received an email confirming that your player is registered. This email will also help us ensure that we have correct emails for everyone — and there are a *lot* of you.

  • We're in the process of finalizing the rosters and teams, as well as times and locations for practices and games.

  • Once the teams, rosters and schedules are confirmed, coaches will contact their players. We'll send out a note when that starts to happen.

  • Practices are scheduled to begin the last week of August. Game schedules will be posted to the website as soon as they’re finalized.

  • If you preordered a uniform, you'll pick it up in person. We're finalizing the times and locations for uniform pickup. Stay tuned.

  • If you didn't preorder a uniform — or if you just need parts of a uniform — you'll be able to soon purchase at the field, too. This year, you will be able to pay by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay in addition to cash and checks.

It's going to be a busy season.

In addition to the internal improvements we've made within the league, we're working with the City of Pensacola as it prepares for renovations on Hitzman Park. We're also working closely with our friends at NEP Football as we all share Roger Scott again this fall. We will, as always, likely be in close quarters.

Now is a great time to make sure you've got all the gear you need for the fall season. Here's what you need to have.

Thank you for your patience, and for your understanding. And most of all, thank you for the opportunity to help grow the world's most popular sport here in Pensacola with our area's most treasured resource — our children.
